7-Methyl-2H-1,5-benzodioxpin-3(4H)-one is a synthetic fragrance ingredient belonging to the class of marine fragrance compounds. It gives a seaside olfactory impression with a floral fragrance. This benzodioxin has the molecular structure required to study the structure-odor relationship (SOR).
